The Background A 77 year-old male was recently given a King of Heart Express monitor to record brief episodes of syncope during the day.

The Symptoms March 18: Baseline EKG shows sinus rhythm with rates from 68 - 72 bpm. One VE noted.

March 19: Patient records a symptom of a rapid heartbeat. The EKG shows sinus tachycardia with rates from 107 - 115 bpm. ST changes were noted.

March 19: A First-Call Medical technician calls the patient back 10 minutes later for a followup EKG tracing. The EKG shows sinus arrhythmia with rates from 64 - 81 bpm. Multiform VE's noted including one triplet.

The Results FCM notifies the ordering physician via fax and phone report. The patient's "true symptoms" were recorded, diagnosed, and treated.
